About the Role

• We are seeking a highly analytical and performance-driven Fleet Support Officer to oversee the operational performance of assigned fleet assets and drivers.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that assigned trucks are fully utilized, productive, fuel-efficient, compliant with safety standards, and delivering expected operational and revenue outcomes.
• This role goes beyond fleet monitoring and requires an individual who can actively manage drivers, optimize asset deployment, improve fleet productivity, and drive operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned fleet assets and ensure effective journey execution.
• Track vehicle utilization, productivity, and operational performance.
• Manage On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance and delivery exceptions.
• Coordinate with drivers, customers, and operational stakeholders to resolve delays and disruptions.
• Drive fuel-efficient driving practices and monitor driver performance.
• Optimize asset deployment, routing, and backhaul opportunities.
• Monitor Proof of Delivery (POD) closure and trip reconciliation activities.
• Identify factors affecting fleet productivity and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, journey management, and operational requirements.
• Liaise with maintenance teams to improve vehicle availability and reduce downtime.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-5 years experience in fleet operations, transport management, logistics, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of fleet utilization, driver management, and operational performance monitoring.
• Experience using GPS tracking, fleet management, or transport management systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
