We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Fleet Manager

Location: Lagos Mainland, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

  • The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, minimizing downtime, and maximizing the cost-effectiveness of our fleet operations.
  • You will lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of fleet maintenance, repairs, and compliance with regulatory standards, all while ensuring safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the fleet, including vehicle procurement, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Develop and implement fleet management strategies to ensure efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Schedule regular vehicle maintenance, including inspections, repairs, and servicing, to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor and manage fleet performance, ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and meet regulatory compliance standards.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, maintenance providers, and insurance companies.
  • Track and report on fleet performance metrics, including fuel efficiency, vehicle utilization, and maintenance costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, insurance, and licensing for all fleet vehicles.
  • Ensure that all fleet vehicles comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
  • Implement and oversee driver safety programs, including training, compliance, and risk management.
  • Manage the fleet budget, including forecasting costs for repairs, replacements, and operational expenses.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure fleet availability meets business needs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fleet management or a similar role, preferably in a large organization or company.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze and report on fleet performance data.
  • Experience in managing a large and diverse fleet (e.g., bikes, vehicles, trucks)
  • Experience with GPS tracking systems and telematics.

Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 Monthly.
