Job Summary

• The Fintech Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of payment gateway systems.
• This role involves integrating and optimizing payment processing solutions, ensuring security and compliance, and improving customer experience.
• The specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Payment Gateway Integration: Lead the integration of payment gateways with internal systems and third-party vendors to ensure seamless transaction processing.
• Transaction Monitoring & Optimization: Analyze and monitor transaction flows, identifying opportunities to enhance performance, reduce fees, and improve approval rates.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure that payment systems comply with industry standards (PCI DSS) and regulations (e.g., PSD2), focusing on maintaining security and data integrity.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical assistance to resolve payment-related issues, working with engineering teams to address and solve gateway-related bugs and performance problems.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party payment gateway providers, banks, and financial institutions to manage service agreements and resolve any service-related concerns.
• New Payment Solutions: Explore and recommend new payment methods (e.g., mobile wallets, crypto payments) and assess their feasibility for integration into existing systems.
• User Experience: Work closely with the product team to enhance the customer experience in the checkout and payment processing stages, ensuring minimal friction.
• Reporting & Analytics: Develop regular reports and insights into payment operations, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in payment gateway management, fintech, or payment processing industries.
• Strong knowledge of payment processing technologies (e.g., APIs, SDKs).
• Familiarity with security standards like PCI DSS, 3DS, and encryption methodologies.
• Experience with transaction monitoring, fraud detection, and chargeback management.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and vendor management abilities.
• Knowledge of emerging payment technologies like cryptocurrency, blockchain, or alternative payment methods is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or SQL for system integrations.
• Experience working with global payment networks (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) and alternative payment methods (e.g., PayPal, Stripe).
• Familiarity with fintech regulations and compliance frameworks.
