Job Title: Finisher

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finisher with strong practical knowledge of engineering, vehicle finishing, and manufacturing processes.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, smoothing, correcting, and finishing vehicle components and surfaces to achieve high-quality standards and ensure that finished products meet engineering and production specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out finishing works on vehicle bodies, components, panels, and fabricated parts.
• Prepare surfaces through grinding, sanding, filling, polishing, and other appropriate finishing processes.
• Correct surface imperfections, weld marks, dents, scratches, and other defects before final finishing.
• Read and understand basic engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspect finished components for quality, alignment, smoothness, and overall appearance.
• Work closely with Welders, Panel Beaters, Fabricators, Engineers, and other Production personnel.
• Ensure finished parts meet required engineering and manufacturing specifications.
• Identify finishing defects and carry out appropriate corrective work.
• Maintain and properly handle finishing tools and equipment.
• Follow company HSE procedures and maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Production or Engineering Supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE/WAEC/NECO, NABTEB, Trade Test, or Technical College qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in vehicle finishing, fabrication, automobile manufacturing, engineering, or a related industry.
• Strong practical knowledge of engineering and automobile manufacturing processes is required.
• Good understanding of vehicle body components and finishing procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and measurements.
• Ability to identify surface defects and perform appropriate corrections.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, grinders, sanders, and other workshop equipment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physically fit, reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
