Lily Hospital Limited, established since 1986 remains one of the foremost hospitals in Nigeria and within the South-South region of the country. It is the first private hospital in Nigeria to achieve ISO 9001:2000 quality management system certification from the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) and also accredited with COHSASA (Council for Health Service Accreditation of Southern Africa) Certificate. We are also consistently committed to high standards; continuous improvement, service excellence, organizational citizenship, and outstanding work ethics. Currently running residency training programs in family medicine and radiology. Lily Hospitals is also involved in housemanship training, internship training in Pharmacy and Radiology. We have multiple locations in Benin, Warri, Okuokoko etc.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Warri, Delta

Job Summary

  • The duties of the financial Controller will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating , audit processes and ensuring accuracy of financial information.

Key Result Areas (KRA)
The key result areas of this role are:

  • Preparing financial reports.
  • Analyzing financial data.
  • Monitoring internal controls.
  • Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Overseeing and preparing income statements.
  • Participating in budgeting processes.
  • Managing financial transactions.
  • Streamlining accounting functions and operations.
  • Developing plans for financial growth.
  • Evaluating & managing risk and coordinating audit processes.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Additional controller duties as necessary

The Person

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Good communication skills & strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent analytics & interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.
  • Auditing experience. & compliance oriented.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
