We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Financial Controller – FMN Agro

Location: Nigeria

Purpose

• To ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting across the Agro-Allied Vertical.
• The role is responsible for delivering consolidated financial statements, maintaining robust financial controls, ensuring compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights that support business decision-making and performance.

The Job

• Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely management and statutory financial reports across the Agro-Allied Vertical and its subsidiaries.
• Oversee financial consolidation processes, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, and other key financial disclosures.
• Ensure the integrity of financial records, general ledger balances, and reporting systems, including Dynamics 365 and Hyperion.
• Maintain effective financial controls, reconciliations, and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) across the business.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on routine and complex financial transactions while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors, regulators, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Drive the delivery of business unit and vertical financial reporting in collaboration with Finance and Commercial teams.

Requirements
Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. or HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, CIMA, or CPA are required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in Financial Reporting, Financial Control, Accounting, or Finance Management.
• Proven experience managing statutory reporting, financial consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.

The Person Must:

• Possess strong financial reporting, accounting, and financial control expertise.
• Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
• Have strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and managing high-performing teams.
