We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Finance Officer is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the Humanity Empire Group (HEG). This includes handling accounts payable and receivable, maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • The Finance Officer plays a key role in supporting the organization’s financial stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:

  • Manage all financial transactions, including payments, receipts, and transfers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Process payroll and ensure timely payment of salaries and benefits.
  • Prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and ledgers.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely collection of payments.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial audits and tax filings.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Support departments in managing their budgets and financial planning.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor and manage the organization’s cash flow to ensure financial stability.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and report on variances.
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.

Other Duties:

  • Support the Finance Manager in various financial projects and initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to other staff on financial matters.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in nonprofit or NGO financial management.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus.

Salary
N200,000 – N500,000 Monthly.
