Job Title: Finance Manager

Job Description

• We are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager who will play a key role in shaping and executing the group’s finance strategy while ensuring accurate and efficient management of all financial operations.
• This role goes beyond number-crunching — you will work closely with leadership to craft practical financial plans, optimize processes, and drive data-backed decisions that support business growth.
• You’ll be as comfortable developing long-term strategies as you are managing day-to-day accounts and payroll.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the company’s financial strategy in alignment with business goals.
• Manage day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory reporting, and audit requirements.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Oversee payroll administration to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with statutory deductions.
• Partner with other departments to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Drive process improvements and leverage technology for better financial management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Professional certification such as ACA or ACCA mandatory
• Master’s degree is a plus.
• 7+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting.
• Proven experience in developing and executing financial strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
• Candidates in Delta state or candidates who are open to relocating to Delta state are preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar).
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced functions for financial modeling and analysis.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Familiarity with tax laws, payroll systems, and regulatory requirements.

Salary
N700,000 – N900,000 / month.
