Job Title: Finance Controller (LAGRIDE)

Job Summary

• The Finance Controller will oversee the company’s accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal control activities.
• The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, effective financial controls, and compliance with applicable regulatory and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and inventory accounting, including timely reconciliation of supporting schedules.
• Supervise the preparation and review of monthly financial statements and management reports, ensuring timely submission to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor the company’s financial performance, cash flow, working capital, and key financial indicators.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IFRS, tax, statutory, and internal control requirements.
• Identify financial risks, control gaps, and discrepancies, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate monthly inventory counts and ensure proper reconciliation of physical and accounting records.
• Review and approve payment vouchers, sales invoices, journals, and other financial documents in line with approved policies.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of required schedules and documentation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting.
• Supervise and provide guidance to the finance and accounting team, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of deliverables.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, tax authorities, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders on finance-related matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree/MBA is an advantage.
• ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional accounting certification is an advantage.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, or finance, with experience in a managerial or supervisory role. Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, automotive, retail, or other inventory-driven industries is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP & IFRS, financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, financial analysis, internal controls, and accounting/ERP systems.
