We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance & Accounts Officer

Location: Enugu
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, journals, and supporting documentation
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability
  • Prepare periodic financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and expense analyses
  • Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis
  • Process payroll and ensure accurate computation of salaries, deductions, and benefits
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian statutory requirements, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, pension, and other regulatory remittances
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required financial records and explanations
  • Maintain proper filing systems for financial documents (both physical and electronic)
  • Monitor financial controls and ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions
  • Support management with financial insights and reports to aid decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar systems
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory compliance
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
