A Reputable Oil and Gas Company is recruiting suitbal candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Filling Station Cashier

Location: Gwarimpa, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • To manage financial transactions efficiently and accurately, provide excellent customer service, and ensure the security and integrity of cash handling and POS operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive cash from pump attendants and reconcile daily with the station manager.
  • Process transactions accurately, issue receipts, and handle cash safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and reconcile daily transactions to the Accountant and Internal Control
  • Prepare daily cash balance sheets and submit them to the Retail Outlet Manager.
  • Provide prompt and courteous service to customers.
  • Address customer queries or concerns related to payments or receipts.
  • Safeguard cash at all times, ensuring secure storage during shifts.
  • Balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift and report discrepancies.
  • Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems and ensure accurate logging of transactions.
  • Assist customers with electronic payments and troubleshoot POS issues.
  • Assist the station manager with stock checks and customer information and maintain a clean cashier area.
  • Send a daily Excel report on all financial transactions to the head office.
  • Ensure timely posting of all income and expenses into the central accounting software.
  • And any other tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of OND in Accounting or Banking &Finance or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working as a cashier or in a retail environment or a Filling-Station is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills are advantageous.
  • Proficiency with numerical data and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and customer service.
  • Ability to manage cash securely and handle POS systems.
  • Problem-solving skills for transaction issues.
  • Numerical, solid, and accuracy skills.
  • Good communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Trustworthy with a high level of integrity.
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions.
  • Maintenance of precise and up-to-date sales records.
  • Effective handling of customer service issues related to payments.
  • Secure management of cash and POS systems.
  • Compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Salary
N100,000 – N120,000 Monthly.
