African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML), established by African Industries Group, operates a fully integrated iron ore mining and processing plant in Gujeni village, Kagarko LGA, Kaduna state, the first of its kind in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Field Operator / Supervisor

Location: Kaduna

Job Description

• Perform daily field rounds to monitor equipment and process parameters in the pellet plant, including induration machines, balling drums/discs, conveyors, and gas/air systems.
• Coordinate with control room operators to ensure smooth process flow and respond promptly to any operational abnormalities.
• Supervise field activities during startup, shutdown, and emergency situations.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards and promote safe work practices among operators and contractors.
• Assist in routine checks and preventive maintenance by coordinating with the maintenance department and preparing equipment for isolation.
• Maintain accurate shift logs, equipment checklist records, and production reports.
• Provide on-the-job guidance to junior operators and contract workers.
• Participate in troubleshooting of process issues and recommend improvements to optimize plant performance.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness in the field areas of the pellet plant.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Sc / HND in Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in pelletizing plant or similar process industry.
• Sound knowledge of pellet plant processes (drying, balling, induration).
• Familiarity with DCS/SCADA-based operations and basic instrumentation signals.
• Working knowledge of safety standards (e.g., LOTO, PTW systems).
