We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Field Officer

Location: Yobe
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objective

  • Provide operational support on data collection
  • Liaise with CMA & selected PHCs to drive essential commodity orders and delivery via LifeFleet, and stakeholder engagements as instructed
  • For the OneBox project in Yobe State Key Results Generate at least 150 order for LMD monthly Execute on ground preparation for project Advocacy meetings
  • Coordinate enumerators to follow guidelines for collecting data at Baseline, Midline and Endline and submit all data to the M & E manager on time and completed.
  • Serve as the project focal/liaison and information point for the partner local governments within the region/cluster;
  • Support the process of selection of partner local governments within the region to undergo a strategic planning process, according to the criteria and selection process approved by the Project Board;
  • Directly assist partner local governments and their local socio-economic actors within the region/cluster to understand the project objectives and effectively participate in the overall project implementation;
  • Promote the standardized local development planning methodology for BiH as a main tool to be deployed within the planning process among partner local governments and other local governments in the region;
  • Prepare necessary documents to be signed between the UNDP and local governments within the region/cluster such as Memoranda of Understanding, Grant Agreements, Contracts, etc.;
  • Conduct entry and exit capacity assessments of partner local governments within the region/cluster, based on a unified assessment methodology developed by the project and prepare relevant narrative reports;
  • Design capacity-building action plans for each partner local government within the region/cluster, based on the capacity assessment results;
  • Contribute to the preparation of Terms of References for various services related to support and capacity development of partner local governments within the region/cluster;
  • Prepare action plans for each region/cluster based on the general action plan of the project and ensure its regular monitoring and effective implementation;
  • Support the process of delivery of comprehensive technical and training assistance by external service providers to each partner local government within the cluster/region, ultimately meant to result in new integrated local development strategies;
  • Coordinate and support joint training, capacity development, and information/discussion events within the region/cluster, as well as establish synergies with other relevant domestic and international initiatives or programmes in the region;
  • Monitor and supervise activities and performance progress within the region/cluster according to the approved implementation work plan and technical assistance package by the Project Management through electronic records, written feedback, and systematic upgrade of information and regularly share feedback and elevate potential risks to the Project Management;
  • Assist and guide partner local governments within the region/cluster to discuss, design, and set up mechanisms for citizen involvement in local policy design (Partnership Groups);
  • Participate as a trainer in some capacity development activities for partner local governments and their socio-economic partners within the region/cluster;
  • Prepare feedback and report information, draft comparative analyses of the ongoing local strategic planning processes in partner local governments within the region/cluster, and summarise lessons learned from each local strategic planning process;
  • Travel regularly to partner municipalities for individual meetings, events, focus group meetings, and project-related activities / trainings and ensure effective work relations with partner local governments throughout the project roll-out;
  • Ensure regular office work is completed, including maintaining all project files, correspondence, photocopies, photos, etc.;
  • Closely interact with the project team, as well as with the other project Field Officers in the process of realization of this function

Qualification

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree.

Remuneration
N100,000 / Month (Gross).
