Job Title: Field Collections Officer – Buy Now Pay Later

Location: Lafia, Nasarawa

Job Summary

• The Field Collector is responsible for visiting customers in person to recover outstanding payments or company property, ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining accurate records, and providing professional customer service during the collection process.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact customers via phone, email, SMS, and in-person visits to follow up on outstanding payments.
• Negotiate and establish payment arrangements in line with company policies.
• Provide customers with accurate information regarding their account status and available payment options.
• Maintain and update customer records with relevant payment details, visit notes, and communication logs.
• Ensure all collection activities comply with company collection policies, legal requirements, and financial regulations.
• Handle customer complaints and disputes professionally and escalate cases when necessary.
• Plan and manage daily visit routes to maximize efficiency.
• Recover company property (e.g., mobile devices) when payment is not made, following proper procedures.
• Report field collection results and progress to supervisors regularly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in collections or customer service is an advantage.
• Proven experience in debt collection, field collections, or related customer-facing roles.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with local laws and regulations related to debt recovery is preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.

Working Conditions:

• Field-based role requiring daily customer visits.
• May involve travel to remote or urban locations.
• Flexible working hours, including evenings or weekends if necessary.

Salary
N70,000 basic per month and N20,000 Transport Allowance (N90,000 Total).
