We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Farm Hand

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Requirements
Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long hours
• Comfortable working in enclosed or controlled environments
• Ability to lift containers, feed, and equipment
• Not overly sensitive or afraid of insects

Hygiene & Biosecurity Awareness:

• Ability to follow biosecurity rules
• Proper handling of organic waste and insect by-products

Practical Skills:

• Use of simple farm tools and containers
• Ability to clean insect trays, cages, and breeding units
• Sorting and harvesting insects
• Packaging insects for sale or processing

Personal Qualities:

• Attention to detail
• Patience and consistency
• Responsible and dependable
• Willingness to learn modern insect farming techniques

Knowledge & Technical Skills:

• Basic understanding of insect rearing (or willingness to learn)
• Ability to handle insects such as crickets, and black soldier flies
• Knowledge of feeding, breeding, and harvesting insects
• Ability to monitor temperature, humidity, and cleanliness
• Basic record-keeping (feeding schedules, growth rates, harvest logs)

Work Conditions:

• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Ability to work in warm, humid environments
• Teamwork and co:mmunication skills

Health Considerations:

• No severe allergies to insects, dust, or organic waste
• Ability to work around smells from organic materials.

Salary
N75,000 – N100,000 per month.
