Job Title: Facility Officer

Reports To: Operations Manager/General Manager

Job Summary

• The Facility Officer is responsible for ensuring that DAL’s buildings, equipment, utilities, and technical infrastructure operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. The role involves preventive maintenance, facility inspections, vendor coordination, emergency repairs, utility monitoring, asset management, and ensuring compliance with safety and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for facilities and equipment.
• Supervise and coordinate Maintenance Officers and other technical personnel.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, utilities, and common areas.
• Monitor electricity, water supply, generators, and other critical utilities and infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate facility asset registers and maintenance records.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate servicing and repairs.
• Coordinate emergency repairs and respond promptly to critical facility issues.
• Manage vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Monitor maintenance activities and ensure work is completed to required standards.
• Prepare and monitor facility maintenance budgets and control maintenance costs.
• Identify opportunities to reduce operational and maintenance costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
• Maintain proper records of inspections, repairs, servicing, and facility performance.
• Prepare regular facility performance and maintenance reports for management.
• Support facility improvement, renovation, and maintenance projects as required.

• Critical Fault Response Compliance: ≥ 95%

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Engineering, Facility Management, Estate Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years’ relevant experience in facility management, maintenance, engineering, or property operations.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, and maintenance teams is an advantage.
