Job Title: Facility Maintenance Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

  • Benel Energy Resources Limited is seeking a skilled and motivated Facility Maintenance Officerto join our dynamic team.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment and general maintenance of our facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical, and electrical systems, equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety in the facility
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Coordinate with external contractors/vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and address issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide support for special events or projects requiring facility setup or maintenance.
  • Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records. .
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements at all times, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with industry standards.
  • General services and facility maintenance..
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements

  • OND / HND or equivalent; Technical certification or vocational training in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred
  • 3 – 7 years relevant work experience. .
  • Proven experience as a technical maintenance officer or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical systems and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills..
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with established procedures and regulations.
