Job Title: Experienced Quality Control Officer (Chicken Processing)

Location: Ashipa Village, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and skilled QC Officer to join our team at Pally Food Limited.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our chicken products, from raw material reception to finished goods.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control, experience in chicken processing, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and protocols
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of raw materials, production processes, and finished products
  • Monitor and control critical control points (CCPs) in the production process
  • Collaborate with production staff to identify and address quality issues
  • Analyze and interpret quality data, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure quality standards

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Product Quality Rating: Achieve a product quality rating of 95% or higher, based on internal and external audits.
  • Defect Rate Reduction: Reduce defect rates by 15% within the first six months, and maintain a minimum of 5% annual reduction thereafter.
  • Customer Complaints: Reduce customer complaints by 20% within the first year, and maintain a minimum of 10% annual reduction thereafter.
  • Audit Compliance: Maintain an average audit score of 90% or higher, based on internal and external audits.
  • Process Capability Index (CpK) : Achieve a CpK score of 1.33 or higher for critical processes, indicating stable and capable processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in quality control, preferably in a chicken processing plant
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., HACCP, SQF, ISO 22000) will be an added advantage
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead cross-functional teams
