Job Title: Experienced Audit Staff

Location: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• The ideal candidates will have relevant experience in external auditing, financial reporting and internal control assessments, with the ability to execute audit assignments effectively, uphold professional standards and deliver high-quality client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute audit engagements in accordance with applicable auditing standards, professional guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Review financial statements for compliance with IFRS and relevant statutory requirements.
• Evaluate internal controls, identify risks and recommend appropriate improvements.
• Prepare and review audit working papers, audit reports and management letters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Nigerian laws and regulations, including CAMA 2020 and relevant FRCN requirements.
• Collaborate with audit teams and maintain effective client relationships to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of engagements.

Requirements

• A Degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in external auditing, preferably within a professional accounting firm.
• ACA, ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of IFRS, International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and applicable Nigerian regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant audit or accounting software.
