Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) – We coordinate and unify the petroleum policies of its Member Countries and ensure the stabilization of oil markets in order to secure an efficient, economic and regular supply of petroleum to consumers, a steady income to producers and a fair return on capital for those investing in the petroleum industry.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Description

  • We require the services of an Executive Secretary in the Director, Research Division’s Office.

Main Responsibilities

  • Arranges and records incoming correspondence (memos/letters/e-mails/invoices), and assists the Director in dispositions and distribution to the relevant staff; monitors and keeps Director informed regarding the status of follow up
  • Arranges and records outgoing correspondence (memos/letters/e-mails/invoices), assisting the Director in checking wording and style, and providing the necessary background information; dispatches and  files as required
  • Drafts memos/letters/e-mail/other response statements as requested by the Director
  • Follows-up pending matters within the Division and with other Division/Departments/Offices
  • Finalises the Division’s reports and presentations to Management and to the Governing Bodies
  • Schedules appointments of the Director
  • Translates correspondence from German to English and vice versa as required
  • Assists in the preparations for Meetings of Ministers, Governors and other high-level bodies; services these meetings and produces minutes/summaries of proceedings or decisions thereof
  • Carries out any other tasks assigned by the relevant superiors as pertain to his/her background, qualifications and position

Requirements

  • Candidates must have Vocational training
  • 5 years of work experience.

  • Initiative and integrity
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, German an asset

Offer
Monthly basic salary of €4,385 x 12 per year, with tax-free benefits and six-week annual leave.
