Daiik Engineering Limited is a diversified engineering company in the Oil, Gas, Petro-Chemical, Power, Food, Beverages and other Industries. We Have in our group a team of varied experienced managers, Engineers, and other skilled workers drawn from the various disciplines that can handle projects of diverse complexity and magnitude to single line responsibility in engineering and construction projects requiring tens of thousands man hours.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Equipment / Logistics Lead

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Track and maintain inventory databases for tools, machinery, and site assets.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance and repairs for operational equipment and fleet vehicles.
  • Coordinate equipment allocation, check-ins, and check-outs across various project sites.
  • Inspect tools and heavy machinery to ensure they meet workplace safety standards.
  • Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments of materials and equipment.
  • Optimize shipping and delivery routes to lower costs and boost fuel efficiency.
  • Monitor active transits in real time and fix delays or route disruptions quickly.
  • Negotiate rates and build relationships with freight carriers, vendors, and haulage providers.
  • Generate and manage shipping documents, bills of lading, asset logs, and manifests.
  • Ensure all material movements comply with local transportation and safety laws.
  • Report operational metrics, asset discrepancies, and performance logs to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) is an additional advantage.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proven experience in logistics, warehouse management, or fleet operations.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics operations, equipment management, procurement, and supply chain processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Software proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP, Oracle, or specialized Asset Tracking Software.
  • Good understanding of HSE requirements and regulatory compliance within the oil & gas or construction industry.
