We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Environmental Field Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Administration / Operations
Reports To: Laboratory Director / Environmental Manager
Industry: Environmental Testing / Analytical Laboratory Services

Key Responsibilities

• To attend fieldwork and Data Gathering both Onshore and Offshore.
• To produce field reports with insitu results, field attendance and pictures attached.
• To take proper care of ALL field equipment, materials and accessories as required.
• To adhere to environmental policies and programs in line with the company’s strategic objectives.
• To ensure that all environmental legislation is adhered to.
• To ensure the implementation of environmental management systems.
• To conduct audits to identify environmental risks and non-compliance with environmental regulations in the field.
• To develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
• To monitor the effectiveness of environmental management systems and make improvements where necessary.
• To liaise with the General Manager on environmental issues.
• To prepare performance level reports on all studies e.g EIA, PIA, ECM, Remediation, EES etc
• To ensure all Draft and Final Report are submitted to the GMD for review and follow-up.
• To ensure all documentations, equipment, materials are ready prior each fieldwork.
