We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Engineering Assistant

Location: Lagos (Remote)
Start Date: March 2022

Duties / Responsibilities

• Liaise with vendors to meet desired quality and supply commitment
• Responsible for electrical and instrumentation engineering, distribution analysis, cable routing and arrangement, line diagram plan and input on electrical arrangement and design for the project to meet contractual requirements
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses faulty equipment to determine root cause of equipment failure, takes remedial action and makes reliability improvements
• Monitor the serviceability of equipment and facilities & ensure they adhere to safety, housekeeping and environment requirements
• Develop and review risk analysis and procedure
• Liaise with customers on work schedule and defect findings
• Provide technical direction or support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring.
• Create plans for solar energy system development, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
• Create checklists for review or inspection of completed solar installation projects.
• Develop design specifications and functional requirements for residential, commercial, or industrial solar energy systems or components.
• Read specifications from clients
• Research matters like local regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND in Electrical Engineering
• Little / no cognate experience.

Technical Requirements:

• Knowledge of testing and commissioning of switchboards, power management and other electrical equipment preferred
• Knowledge of automation design of control system (Hardware & Software) for VFD drive, PLC system, HMI system utility power system
• Knowledge of AC/DC motors, computer-based system and generator
• Knowledge in automation.
