Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Victoria Island (VI), Lagos

Description

• Are you an experienced Electrical Technician with strong hands-on expertise in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high-capacity generators?
• We are looking for a skilled and dependable Electrical Technician to join our team in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of high-capacity diesel generators.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults in generator control systems, panels, alternators, and related components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on generator electrical systems.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of generator sets and associated electrical systems.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and provide effective technical solutions.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in line with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Prepare service reports and document maintenance activities and identified faults.
• Provide technical support at client sites when required.

Requirements

• OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related technical field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience working with high-capacity generators.
• Strong hands-on experience in generator electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Good knowledge of generator control systems, alternators, electrical panels, and protection systems.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to technical faults.
• Must be able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.
• A valid driver’s licence is required.
• Willingness to travel to client locations when required.
