We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, Plastics

Location: Agbara, Ogun

Job Purpose

• This role supervises and coordinates all electro-mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring high equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and efficient support for continuous plastic bottle crate production, while adhering to safety, quality, and cost standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable operation of injection moulding machines and auxiliary equipment used in plastic bottle crate production through timely mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Lead and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime and ensure consistent plastic bottle crate output.
• Diagnose and resolve electro-mechanical faults on molding injection machines, robotic systems, conveyors, and utilities (compressors, chillers, etc.).
• Supervise maintenance technicians across shifts, ensuring efficient task execution and shift handover
• Ensure availability and proper usage of maintenance tools and critical spare parts specific to plastics molding and handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free maintenance workshop and machine areas in line with 5S and plant safety requirements.
• Train team members on safe maintenance practices, and enforce compliance with QMS, OHSAS, and EMS standards in a plastics manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or any other related fields
• 4 – 6 years experience in a similar role.
• Experience in team supervision, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• In-depth knowledge of injection moulding processes and equipment, with hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to support daily production operations, ensuring machine efficiency and reduced downtime.
• Proficiency in electro-mechanical systems, technical drawings, and preventive maintenance planning.
• Experience in team supervision, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
