Job Title: Electrical Instrumentation and Control Design Engineer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Primary Roles and Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge of the Instrumentation and control including Fire and Gas and Telecoms discipline scope/cost/time requirements, and assists the team to meet expectations.
• Implement innovative solutions, technology advances, and methods to effectively deal with working out of sequence.
• Perform design and drafting assignments on projects that meet project requirements on time and within budget.
• Gather data from multiple sources and prepares design drawings, schedules, Bill of Quantities, 3D models, EDMS and Material take-offs.
• Assists with recommendations and helps create final documentation.
• Understands design deliverables required for all project phases, and their various purposes.
• Work in PDMS creating instruments, cable tray routing, locating junction boxes, remote I/O cabinets, and lighting.
• Work include modification of existing instrument panels to accept PLC & DCS racks and wiring; update pneumatic instrumentation to electronics.
• Develop new instrument installation detail drawings, instrument location plan drawings, instrument elevation drawings and loop diagrams for the refinery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in Electrical & Instrumentation Design.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and related software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Highly organized and self-motivated.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary
N120,000 – N150,000 monthly.
