Job Summary

• We are seeking a qualified Power Plant Monitoring Technician with an Electrical Engineering background to support the monitoring and operational oversight of power generation equipment.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for observing plant performance, monitoring electrical parameters, identifying operational abnormalities, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the power plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor power plant operations including generators, transformers, switchgear, and auxiliary systems.
• Track and record key electrical parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, load, and power output.
• Observe control systems and plant instrumentation to ensure stable and efficient operation.
• Identify abnormal operating conditions and promptly report them to the operations or engineering team.
• Maintain accurate operational logs, daily reports, and incident records.
• Assist with routine inspections of electrical equipment and plant infrastructure.
• Support troubleshooting activities during operational disturbances or equipment faults.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and operational protocols.
• Coordinate with plant operators, engineers, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist during plant start-up, shutdown, and maintenance activities as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in power generation, electrical systems monitoring, or industrial plant operations.
• Familiarity with power plant equipment, electrical distribution systems, and control systems.
• Basic understanding of SCADA systems and power plant instrumentation is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor multiple parameters simultaneously.
• Good reporting and communication skills.
