Description

• We are looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Eatery Cashier to join our team.
• As an Eatery Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent service while efficiently handling transactions.
• Your role is essential in ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience for our guests.
• You will be responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and organised cashier station.
• In this role, you will also assist with answering customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and recorded properly.
• You will work closely with kitchen staff and servers to ensure orders are processed promptly and correctly.
• A successful Eatery Cashier should be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, have strong communication skills, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
• This position requires basic math skills, familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, and the ability to handle cash and credit card transactions securely.
• You will also be expected to follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a welcoming atmosphere
• Take food and beverage orders accurately

• Maintain the cleanliness of the cashier area
• Answer customer questions and resolve complaints
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order delivery
• Monitor the inventory of front counter supplies
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Assist with opening and closing procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred
• Location preferably Ughelli, along Patani Expressway, Delta State
• Basic math and computer skills
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
