Job Title: Early Years Class Teacher

Location: Lugbe, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Educational Development:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to young learners.
• Use visual aids, stories, songs, and games to stimulate learning.
• Support development of basic skills like speech, coordination, and early numeracy.
• Encourage creative expression through drawing, imaginative play, and music.

Observation & Assessment:

• Observe and record each child’s progress and behavior.
• Identify developmental milestones and areas needing support.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with teaching assistants.
• Coordinate with other educators to ensure consistent learning experiences.

Safety & Wellbeing:

• Ensure health and safety protocols are followed during all activities.
• Provide pastoral care and emotional support to children.
• Create a secure and nurturing environment for learning.

Holistic Development:

• Foster social skills and emotional intelligence.
• Encourage independence and self-confidence.
• Prepare children to be “school ready” by supporting personal, social, and academic growth.

Professional Growth:

• Attend training sessions and stay updated on curriculum changes.
• Reflect on teaching practices and adapt to new methods.
• Mentor and support other early years educators.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree with 2 years of experience.
