Job Description

• As a truck driver at Transgeneration Enterprises, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods from one location to another, ensuring timely deliveries and adhering to all transportation laws and regulations.
• You will play a crucial role in the logistics chain, maintaining the integrity of the cargo while representing our company professionally on the road.

Job Responsibilities

• Safe Operation of Commercial Vehicles: Operate trucks in a safe manner, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition.
• Timely Deliveries: Transport goods to their destination within specified time frames, managing schedules effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
• Cargo Management: Load and unload cargo onto the truck, ensuring proper distribution and securing of the load to prevent damage during transit. Follow specific instructions for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.
• Route Planning: Plan the most efficient routes for delivery, taking into account factors such as traffic, road conditions, and weather to minimize delays and optimize fuel efficiency.
• Communication: Maintain communication with dispatchers and supervisors, providing updates on delivery status, any delays encountered, or issues with the vehicle.
• Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally during pickups and deliveries, providing assistance as needed and representing Transgeneration Enterprises in a positive light.
• Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logbooks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on the truck, such as refueling, checking fluid levels, and reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance staff for repairs.
• Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations governing the transportation industry, including hours of service regulations.
• Safety: Maintain a commitment to safety at all times, following best practices for defensive driving and accident prevention.
