Job Title: Driver (HMO)

Location: Uselu, Benin City – Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to provide safe, efficient, and timely transportation services for a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO).
  • The role involves transporting staff and management, delivering official documents, and ensuring proper care and maintenance of assigned company vehicles in compliance with road safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport management and staff to official meetings, hospitals, corporate clients, and other business locations.
  • Deliver and collect official documents, ID cards, claims files, and other assigned materials.
  • Ensure punctual pickup and drop-off of staff and items as scheduled.
  • Maintain the assigned vehicle in a clean, functional, and roadworthy condition at all times.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks including fuel, oil, water, brakes, lights, and tyres.
  • Report mechanical issues, accidents, or damages promptly to the Admin/Operations unit.
  • Ensure vehicles are serviced and maintained according to schedule.
  • Observe all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
  • Ensure vehicle documents (insurance, roadworthiness certificate, vehicle license, etc.) are valid and up to date.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Assist with office errands, courier services, and logistics support when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information, staff movements, and sensitive documents.
  • Support administrative and operational tasks as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid Nigerian Driver’s License.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ driving experience, preferably in a corporate, healthcare, or HMO environment.
  • Good knowledge of Benin City and surrounding routes.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and write basic English.
  • High level of honesty, responsibility, and professionalism.

  • Good time management and reliability.
  • Courteous and respectful attitude.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Physically fit, alert, and safety-conscious.
