We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Drilling Consultant (Upstream)

Description

  • Develops / manages project interfaces (e.g. subsea simultaneous drilling and production procedures, interfaces with other subsea systems)
  • Keeps abreast of subsea completions and workover techniques and technology progress within the industry, applies emerging technology and practices where appropriate and can use Tech Set applications effectively.
  • Very strong organizational and technical judgment skills demonstrated
  • Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills
  • Demonstrated skills to positively influence drilling workforce – employees and contractors
  • Relevant industry experience (offshore / onshore drilling activities, for example).
  • Maintains a high degree of ethical conduct.
  • Supervision of Well operations including drilling, completions, cementing, workovers, logistics, etc. for rig programs.
  • Ensure that rig activities are executed as designed and seek appropriate approvals for deviations from the objectives.
  • Establish and maintain HSE plans to execute drilling and completion/well intervention operations in accordance with company’s defined safety GOAL
  • Accountable for the investigation of incidents and compliance with the company incident management requirements.
  • Delivery of continuous HSE and Performance improvement through drilling contractors by building and maintaining an effective contract management plan.
  • Compliance with Rules, and regulations, in the operating area.
  • Ensure performance delivery of a quality well: in time and in the budget, meeting the agreed primary objectives stated in the well functional specification and further worked out in detail in the Well design/technical specification.
  • Identify, initiate, and implement Technical Limit Drilling activities in the detailed planning and execution phases of assigned projects (Best Practices screening, DWOP, Pre-spud, well section reviews, and briefings of rig team and contractors).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Geoscience, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in onshore/offshore drilling operations within the upstream oil and gas sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of drilling processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork.
  • Certification in relevant HSE standards and practices is a plus.
