Job Title: Dispatch Rider

Job Description

• A Dispatch Rider collects and delivers documents, packages, and goods using a motorcycle or bicycle, prioritizing safe and timely transport while adhering to traffic laws.
• Key responsibilities include route planning, vehicle maintenance, secure handling of items, maintaining accurate delivery records, and providing excellent customer service.
• Strong organizational, time management, communication, and safe riding skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery: Safely and promptly deliver documents, parcels, and various goods to designated locations.
• Collection: Pick up items from suppliers, warehouses, or other locations as instructed.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks on the motorcycle or bicycle, report any faults, and ensure it is in good working condition.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including delivery times, recipient signatures, and any relevant notes.
• Route Optimization: Plan efficient delivery routes to minimize travel time and ensure timely arrivals.
• Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally and courteously, providing updates on delivery status and addressing inquiries.
• Safety: Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures to ensure personal safety and secure transport of goods.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatch coordinators, colleagues, and recipients to facilitate smooth and efficient operations.

Required Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with at least 5 years experience.
• Valid Driver’s License: A valid motorcycle or bicycle license.

• Driving Record: A clean driving record.
• Navigation Skills: Familiarity with local road networks and excellent navigation abilities.
• Time Management: Strong skills in managing time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
• Communication: Good interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with clients and staff.
• Physical Fitness: The ability to handle packages of various sizes and weights.
• Awareness: High awareness and alertness while riding to anticipate potential hazards.

Salary
N50,000 – N80,000 / month
