Job Title: Dispatch Rider

Location: Lagos

Work Days: Mondays to Saturdays

Job Description

• The dispatch rider will be responsible for door step pickup and delivery, sending & collecting of official documents, materials, packages and bulky items as needed.

Responsibilities
They include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for contacting customers to verify delivery address.
• Responsible for picking up items and delivering them safely to customers on time.
• Arrange shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipate delivery requirement, placing and expediting orders.
• Ship items by examining items,destination, route,rate and delivery time.
• Keep customers informed by forwarding notice of item availability, shipment date, method, status and responding to enquiries as it relates to delivery.
• Carry out a routine check on the bike and discover any fault to be fixed.
• Manage all the company’s property in his care
• Ensure safety of customer’s items while in transit.

Education & Experience and Requirements

• A minimum of Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSCE)
• 1 – 2 years work experience.
• Proven experience as a dispatcher or relevant position.
• Must enjoy motorcycling and be a skilled rider.
• Must have a valid rider’s card
• Have a good knowledge of lagos routes and it’s environs.

Skills Required:

• Ability to communicate, read and write.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities
• Have good numeracyskills for delivery and expenses records.
• Polite and able to get along with people.
