Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site role for a Director of Research, based in Lagos. The Director of Research will be responsible for leading research initiatives, analyzing market trends, conducting data-driven studies, and delivering actionable insights to support economic policies and business strategies.
• The role involves managing research teams, producing strategic reports, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring the dissemination of accurate and comprehensive industry information to aid decision-making within the organization and among its stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Possession of a PhD is an added advantage
• A minimum of 20 years of work experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
• Experience working with private sector organizations is a plus.
• Strong expertise in research methodologies, data analysis, and reporting
• Proven leadership and team management skills to oversee research teams effectively
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Proficiency in tools for conducting research, statistical analysis, and report creation
• Experience in policy analysis and understanding industry trends within commerce, industry, mines, or agriculture
