Job Summary

• A leading conglomerate with diverse business interests and head office in Nigeria is seeking to engage experienced, intelligent, passionate and self-driven Marketing Communications professionals to fill senior vacancies within the organization.
• These positions are open to expatriates and Nigerians as the group thrives in a multinational aggregation of talents.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Marketing Communications department, driving a high-performance, customer-centric, and results-based culture.
• Coordinate, supervise and account for the key units of Advertising, Corporate Communications / Public Relations, Creative, Branding, Digital and OOH of the Group.
• Map out integrated communications strategies that support sales and marketing plans, attract and retain consumers, and encourage the spending rate of the business current consumers.
• Champion integrated marketing communications share of budget that will ensure the success of 360-degree communications efforts and initiatives.
• Work closely with the marketing and sales departments for effective alignment of marketing and sales objectives with communications objectives.
• Collate, aggregate and harness the marketing communications needs of each Business Unit within the Group for effective and successful campaigns in support of their business objectives.
• Gather ideas and feedback from the field and competitive scene leading to more effective campaign strategies and solutions.
• Explore business data insights through relevant publications, seminars and events in order to continuously keep abreast of current industry best practices.
• Lead the campaign process negotiations as well as ensure regulatory and vetting compliance prior to campaign and material exposures.

Requirements & Skills

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Business Administration, Marketing, Mass Communication, Economics or any other relevant discipline.
• An MBA or Masters Degree would be added advantage.
• Professional certification(s) and membership of professional bodies are a must.
• Minimum of 20 years progressive operational and managerial experience in developing communications/ promotional strategies in reputable Advertising Agencies/ Integrated Marketing Communications/ FMCG companies with at least 7 years at Senior Managerial level.
• Excellent knowledge of Products Promotion, Advertising, Sponsorship, Public Relations and Media Relations.
• Must have a proven track record delivering superior results and assuming leadership roles.
• Success in role requiring execution of multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide array of people within the organization as well as with external publics.
