Job Description

• The Data Scientist / Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large data sets to provide insights that support strategic decisions and business solutions.
• This role involves working with data from multiple sources, applying statistical models or machine learning techniques, and communicating findings through reports and visualizations.

Job Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to support critical decision-making.
• Develop statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems.
• Generate reports and data visualizations that clearly communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers and software developers to integrate data insights into products.
• Identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights from complex data sources.
• Maintain data accuracy, quality, and integrity throughout the analytics pipeline.
• Collecting and preprocessing structured and unstructured data
• Performing data analysis and visualization
• Feature engineering and statistical modeling
• Supporting the AI engineer with clean, labeled datasets.

Education

• Candidate must posess the following – Bachelor`s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Technology.

Technical Skills
Programming Languages:

• Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
• SQL.

Data Manipulation & Analysis:

• Data wrangling (cleaning, transforming)
• Exploratory data analysis (EDA)
• Statistical analysis.

Data Visualization:

• Power BI, Tableau, or Excel
• Python (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly)
• R (ggplot2).

Machine Learning & Predictive Modeling:

• Supervised and unsupervised learning
• Regression, classification, clustering
• Model evaluation and tuning.

Database Management:

• SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• NoSQL databases (MongoDB)

Big Data Tools (optional but valuable):

• Hadoop, Spark
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

Tools & Environments:

• Jupyter Notebooks, RStudio

Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 monthly.
