Job Title: Customer Engagement Officer

Location: Abule Egba, Lagos

Job Summary

  • As the frontline ambassador for our client into cement distribution and sandcrete block production operations, the Customer Engagement Officer plays a pivotal role in fostering long term client loyalty and driving revenue growth in Nigeria’s competitive construction materials market.
  • The Customer service officer will proactively engage a portfolio of 300+ clients—including builders,contractors, and wholesalers—through personalized communication, swift problem-solving, and value-added services to boost repeat orders by 50% annually.
  • Daily tasks blend relationship-building (e.g.,Calls , WhatsApp check-ins), sales enablement (up selling bulk deals), and data-driven insights (tracking trends via Google Sheets) to ensure exceptional service that aligns with our commitment to integrity,efficiency, and community impact.
  • This position demands a blend of empathy, hustle, and analytics in a high-volume environment, offering direct pathways to supervisory roles for top performers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture client relationships by scheduling weekly check-ins (phone, WhatsApp, or visits) and anticipating needs based on project timelines and market demands
  • Drive sales growth by identifying upsell opportunities (e.g., bundling cement with sandcrete blocks) and collaborating with logistics for seamless order fulfillment.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly, escalating complex cases (e.g., delivery delays) to management while maintaining transparent communication.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions in a shared Google Sheet, analyzing data to spot trends like seasonal demand spikes.
  • Host quarterly client appreciation events or demos to showcase product quality and build brand advocacy.
  • Liaise with internal teams to streamline processes, such as faster invoicing or inventory updates, reducing turnaround time by 20%.
  • Monitor industry updates (e.g., cement price fluctuations, new regulations) and share insights to position us as a trusted partner.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 – 4 years experience.

Salary
N107,000 monthly Gross.
