We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cost Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Use computer software to calculate estimates
• Evaluate a product’s cost-effectiveness or profitability
• Develop project plans for the duration of the project
• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses factors
• Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues
• Read blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates
• Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable
• Work with sales teams to prepare estimates and bids for clients
• Travel to job sites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering or relevant field.
• Must have proven years of experience.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Superb communication and presentation skills.
• Aptitude to succeed in a stressful and deadline oriented environment.
• Solid understanding of spreadsheets like MS Excel.
