We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cost Controller / Cost Management Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Change Management: Reviewing, approving, and analyzing the impact of variations (change orders) and contracts.
• Process Improvement: Evaluating and improving cost-saving measures to enhance profitability.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Developing project budgets and providing accurate, timely financial projections to guide decision-making.
• Cost Monitoring & Control: Tracking expenses, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions to prevent overruns.
• Reporting: Preparing weekly/monthly cost reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), and updating stakeholders on financial status.

Typical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 – 5 years of experience in cost control, project accounting, or financial analysis.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Sector-Specific Duties:

• Construction / Engineering: Managing project milestones, subcontractor payments, and material costs.
• Hospitality / F&B: Monitoring inventory, food/beverage costs, and daily stock movements.
