Job Title: Consumer Insights Manager

Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

• Project Ownership: Scoping, designing, and executing custom qualitative and quantitative research studies to answer specific business questions (e.g. Usage & Attitudes studies, Brand Health Tracking, concept/product testing).
• Agency Oversight: Briefing, evaluating, and managing third-party research agencies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to methodology standards.
• Sensory & Taste Testing: Coordinating product formula tests, blind taste challenges, and packaging usability studies in close collaboration with R&D and product development teams.
• Claims Validation: Designing robust consumer testing protocols to validate advertising claims (e.g. “Preferred 2-to-1 over the leading brand”) to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
• Annual Brand Planning Partnering: Participating actively in annual brand planning cycles,providing the foundational consumer insights that shape budget allocations, marketing strategies, and target setting.
• Voice of Consumer Advocacy: Challenging internal assumptions by bringing objective consumer data to cross-functional debates, ensuring company strategy stays anchored in real consumer behaviour.

Job Requirements

• First Degree or its equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration or other relevant discipline. MSc/MBA or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience, with at least three years at a managerial level. Experience in similar bottling FMCG industry is required.
