Job Title: Construction Site QS / Procurement Officer

Job Summary

• Are you a Quantity Surveyor with strong procurement experiencewho understands that construction is not just about numbers on a spreadsheet, but about getting the right materials, at the right price, at the right time?
• We are looking for a hands-on QS / Procurement Officer to join our construction team and work directly on our active building projects in Lagos.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review BOQs, material schedules and cost estimates
• Raise and process purchase requests/orders in line with approved requirements
• Monitor material prices and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Ensure materials are procured and delivered on time to prevent delays on site
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Storekeepers and Accounts
• Verify quantities, specifications and quality of materials before purchase/delivery
• Monitor material usage against approved quantities and budgets
• Track procurement costs and maintain accurate procurement records
• Conduct site measurements and assist with valuation of completed works where required
• Review subcontractor quotations and assist with commercial evaluations
• Identify and report cost variations, wastage and procurement discrepancies
• Maintain an up-to-date database of suppliers, prices and procurement activities

Requirements

• A Quantity Surveyor with practical procurement experience
• Comfortable working on an active construction site
• Commercially minded and strong with numbers
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple procurement requirements
• Detail-oriented and able to spot quantity, pricing and specification discrepancies
• Proactive, resourceful and able to work with minimal supervision
• Honest and accountable when dealing with company funds, suppliers and materials
• Comfortable communicating with contractors, suppliers and site teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant construction / commercial tools
