Job Title: Construction Lab Technician

Location: Oyo

Job Summary

• Responsible for conducting laboratory and field tests on construction materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and approved procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct tests on soil, concrete, aggregates, asphalt, and other construction materials.
• Perform field tests, including soil compaction, slump tests, and concrete sampling.
• Collect, prepare, and test material samples in accordance with approved standards.
• Record test results, prepare reports, and maintain accurate laboratory records.
• Monitor material quality and report non-conformities to the Quality Control Engineer.
• Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory testing equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with site engineers and the QA/QC team to resolve material quality issues.

Requirements

• OND, HND, or BSc in Civil Engineering, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction materials testing.
• Practical knowledge of soil, concrete, aggregate, and asphalt testing procedures.
• Familiarity with relevant ASTM, BS, or other applicable construction testing standards.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and maintain accurate test records.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
