Sage Grey Finance Limited (“Sage Grey Finance” or “the Company”) is a finance services company incorporated in Nigeria. We are licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and are integrated into the Nigerian Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS). We are members of the Finance Houses Association of Nigeria (FHAN). We offer Lending Services (Project Finance, Asset Finance, Corporate finance, Consumer Loan, etc.), Fund Management Services, Advisory Services, and other services as authorized by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Compliance Officer

Location: Lagos

Role Summary

  • The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the Finance Company operates in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, including those issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other relevant regulatory authorities.
  • The role is critical in safeguarding the institution against regulatory, legal, and reputational risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance Oversight
  • Anti-Money Laundering / Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT)
  • Internal Compliance Framework
  • Monitoring and Reporting
  • Training and Awareness
  • Advisory Role
  • Investigation and Enforcement
  • Record Keeping and Documentation

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Timeliness and accuracy of regulatory reporting
  • Number and severity of compliance breaches
  • Effectiveness of AML/CFT controls
  • Completion rate of compliance training programs
  • Regulatory audit outcomes and findings

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 1–2 years relevant experience in compliance, risk, or audit within financial services
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian regulatory environment and AML/CFT requirements

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory frameworks
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
