Job Title: Compensation and Benefits Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Manage employee compensation and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare monthly payroll and coordinate timely salary payments.
  • Assist with HR budget preparation and cost analysis.
  • Computation of appropriate PAYE, Pension and processing of NSITF, ITF, Group Life and any other statutory deductions in compliance with Federal and State Regulations.
  • Preparation of Exit Computations in line with the terms and conditions in the offer of employment.
  • Compute Leave Allowance payment for PUM after verifying the amount due as stated in the salary structure and prevent over payment or double payments.
  • Carry out regular update of enrolee list for the purpose of HMO and Group Life Insurance premiums payment as at when due.
  • Prepare and present HR reports, workforce metrics, and management reports.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of compensation programs, including job evaluations, salary surveys, and pay structure frameworks.
  • Prepare and analyse compensation-related reports and dashboards for HR and management decision making.
  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding compensation and benefits policies, with professionalism and clarity.
  • Support the annual compensation review cycle, including performance-based salary adjustments and bonus administration.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and Finance teams to maintain accurate and efficient compensation and benefits data management systems.
  • Manage employee benefits programs, including pensions, healthcare, and wellness initiatives, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Maintain accurate, secure, and up-to-date records for compensation and benefits transactions and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, or another Social Science discipline.
  • 3–6 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in a Compensation & Benefits role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, compensation, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and data presentation skills.
  • Excellent Excel Knowlegde.
  • Strong interpersonal, people management, and industrial relations skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and professionalism.
