Job Title: Communications Officer

Location:  Abuja (FCT)

Position Summary

• We are looking for a creative and organized Communications Associate / Officer to join our team.
• You will work closely with the Communications Manager to execute day-to-day internal and external communication strategies, manage media relations, and support content creation across multiple channels.
• This is a hands-on position ideal for a detail-oriented communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to help shape the voice and brand.

Responsibilties
Content Creation & Copywriting:

• Assist in drafting, editing, and proofreading press releases, newsletters, social media content, and website updates.
• Support the creation of marketing materials, corporate presentations, and internal announcements. Ensure all messaging aligns with the organization’s brand guidelines and tone of voice.

Digital & Social Media Management:

• Schedule and publish daily content across corporate social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, X, Instagram).
• Track basic engagement metrics and help prepare monthly social media and web performance reports.
• Engage with online audiences and flag potential PR risks or high-priority inquiries to the manager.

Internal Communications & Administrative Support:

• Assist in organizing internal staff communications, newsletters, town halls, and bulletin board updates.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Communications Manager, including managing calendars, tracking project timelines, and coordinating vendor invoices or agency deliverables.
• Support cross-functional projects with HR, Marketing, and Operations teams as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in a communications, public relations, or media role (corporate or agency setting).
• Internship experience will be considered for strong candidates.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a rigorous eye for detail and grammar.
• Familiarity with social media management tools, email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), and basic design tools (e.g., Canva).
• Strong ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines, and manage competing priorities under minimal supervision.

Salary
N150,000 monthly.
