Job Title: CNG Shift Supervisor

Location: Ilisan, Ogun

Reports to: Asst Plant Manager

Position Summary

• The Shift Supervisor oversees the operations of a specific shift within the Facility, ensuring the effective management of production and maintenance.
• The shift supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for shift personnel and plays a crucial role in ensuring operational continuity.
• This role involves first-line maintenance of the compression equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, and maintaining accurate records of gas received from the PRMS and compressed for dispatch.

Tasks and activities of the role

• Operational Oversight: Continuous Improvement, supervise and manage all gas compression activities during the shift.
• Develop a strong and effective customer relationship through the various platforms available.
• Perform first-line maintenance and troubleshooting of compression equipment. Schedule and oversee regular maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of gas compressed and dispatched. Prepare and submit shift reports to the Assistant Plant Manager.
• Conducts performance evaluations and provides feedback to team members. Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage shift schedules
• Oversee the long term and day-to-day effectiveness of activities around the compression and loading of gas to the consumer.
• Observe system functions and performances to identify possible operational alarms.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Certifications in CNG operations and COREN are advantageous.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in an operations role, preferably in the CNG Industry or in the oil and gas.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
