Job Title: CNG Operator

Locations: Berger – Lagos, and Arepo – Ogun

Description

• The CNG Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring compressed natural gas (CNG) equipment, ensuring the safe compression, storage, and dispensing of gas.
• The role involves conducting routine inspections, performing basic maintenance, adhering to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, and maintaining accurate operational records to ensure uninterrupted service.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNG compressors, dispensers, storage systems, and related equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment is functioning efficiently.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and promptly report faults or equipment failures.
• Ensure safe loading, unloading, and dispensing of CNG in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of gas volumes, equipment performance, and daily operational activities.
• Monitor pressure, temperature, and other operational parameters to prevent system failures.
• Adhere strictly to HSE policies, emergency procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, equipment malfunctions, or gas leak incidents.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards within the CNG station.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.

Qualifications

• HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Previous experience in CNG operations, gas processing, oil and gas, or industrial plant operations is an advantage.
• Knowledge of CNG systems, compressors, pumps, and safety procedures.
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Salary
N250,000 – N400,000 monthly.
