Job Title: Class Room Assistant

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils, reinforcing learning concepts as directed by the teacher.
• Prepare, organise, and maintain classroom resources, materials, and learning environments.
• Assist with the creation of engaging displays and teaching aids.
• Support the delivery of lessons by setting up equipment, facilitating activities, and managing pupil transitions.
• Promote the welfare of children and adhere to all school safeguarding policies and procedures.

Essential Criteria

• Proven experience working with children in a school, nursery, or similar setting.
• A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, staff, and parents.
• Ability to follow instructions, work effectively as part of a team, and use initiative when appropriate.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills to support core subjects.
• A firm understanding of, and commitment to, safeguarding and child protection.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
