Job Title: Chinese Teacher

Job Summary 

• As a Chinese Teacher you will plan and deliver Mandarin lessons, covering speaking, reading, writing, and vocabulary, while integrating cultural elements to enhance learning.
• They assess student progress, create engaging curriculum materials, maintain classroom discipline, and communicate regularly with parents. Roles often involve organizing extracurricular activities like Mandarin clubs or cultural events.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development: Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula to meet academic standards and student needs.
• Instruction: Deliver high-quality lessons focusing on Mandarin proficiency for various skill levels.
• Assessment: Monitor student progress, grade assignments, and provide feedback to drive improvement.
• Cultural Integration: Promote an understanding of Chinese culture and traditions.
• Communication: Meet with parents, staff, and management to discuss student development.
• Classroom Management: Create a safe, disciplined, and positive learning environment.

Typical Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Education, Linguistics, or related field.
• Certification: Teaching certification (e.g., QTS, TRCN) is generally required.
• Language Skills: Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin, along with proficiency in English.
• Experience: Previous experience teaching Mandarin, particularly in international school settings, is preferred.
